The Cypress Pops Orchestra has received $2,000 from the Fieldstone Company of Newport Beach to help co-sponsor the orchestra’s Aug. 12 concert at Cypress Civic Center Green, 5275 Orange Ave. at Grindlay Street. The orchestra also received a $1,500 matching grant from the City of Cypress to help underwrite the concert. Orchestra officials say that the matching funds have been raised by its board of directors. The concert, to be conducted by John E. Hall, is at 6:30 p.m. and is free. Information: (714) 527-0964.
