Taiwan Justice Minister Extends Leave in Furor

TAIPEI, Taiwan —
Taiwan’s justice minister, embroiled in allegations of influence peddling, Friday began a second leave of absence, embarrassing the ruling Nationalist Party ahead of elections in December.
State radio said Hsiao Tien-tzang will stay on leave until Oct. 7 but that he has refused to resign.
