On Geraldo: Celebrity Divorcees

Geraldo Rivera will be speaking of divorce on Tuesday with a show called “Ex-Wivestyles of the Rich and Famous.” The guests include Carol Lawrence, ex-wife of Robert Goulet, as well as the ex-spouses of Dustin Hoffman, hair stylist Vidal Sassoon and football stars Mark Gastineau and Joe Montana. Lawrence describes Goulet as a man who was in the throes of alcoholism and violence. She described how Goulet would lock their young sons in the trunk of their two-seater car. “But he would forget that they were there and they would be banging to get out and then they’d get home and they’d say, ‘Mommy, I’m so scared.’ ” Lawrence said when she protested, Goulet said, “I will do what I want. They’re my kids.”
