IRVINE : Races Will Aid Hungry Children

The ninth annual Run for Hungry Children, a series of races to raise money to feed hungry and disadvantaged children, will be held March 3 at South Coast Community Church.

A five-kilometer run will begin at 7:30 a.m. from the church parking lot at 5120 Bonita Canyon Road, followed by a 10-kilometer race and then a children’s one-kilometer event. Since its inception, the annual event has raised more than $185,000 for distribution to programs in Haiti, Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras.
