Poland Gets ‘The Wonder Years’ and a Soap: “The Wonder Years” and steamy “Santa Barbara” are among the television shows headed for Polish audiences under an agreement announced Monday between Polish TV officials and an American company. The two-year deal between Polish Television Channel 2 and Annapolis-based Conduit Internationale Films includes programming and selling of advertising for the station. Formerly one of Poland’s two government-operated channels offering a slim variety of news and current affairs shows, Channel 2 has been converted into a commercial station under Poland’s new, non-communist government.
