KCET to Air Foreign Films Every Saturday

KCET Channel 28 will also show foreign films this summer. Its “Movie City Showcase” will feature films from five countries every Saturday evening. They will be presented uninterrupted and unedited.

Here is the schedule:

June 2: Vittorio De Sica’s “Miracle in Milan.”

June 9: Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni in “A Special Day.”

June 16: Roberto Rossellini’s “Open City”; De Sica’s “Umberto D.”

June 23: Daniel Day-Lewis in “My Beautiful Laundrette”; Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger’s “Black Narcissus.”

June 30: Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Man Who Knew Too Much”; Hitchcock’s “Secret Agent.”

July 7: Joseph Losey’s “The Servant”; Lindsay Anderson’s “This Sporting Life.”

July 14: Jean-Claude Tacchella’s “Cousin, Cousine”; Agnes Varda’s “Le Bonheur.”

July 21: Jean Cocteau’s “Beauty and the Beast”; Max Ophuls’ “La Ronde.”

July 28: Luis Bunuel’s “That Obscure Object of Desire”; Claude Sautet’s “Cesar et Rosalie.”

Aug. 4: Francois Truffaut’s “Shoot the Piano Player”; Rene Clement’s “Forbidden Games.”
