Playing With Matches Causes $125,000 Fire
Children playing with matches apparently touched off a fire that caused $125,000 damage to a Palmdale house Monday, Los Angeles County fire authorities said.
Fire crews arrived at the two-story house in the 39700 block of Dover Drive about 4:15 p.m., County Fire Capt. Don De Young said. The blaze, which gutted the garage and part of the second floor, was controlled in about 40 minutes, De Young said.
No one was injured.
