Krzyzewski will meet next week with Dave Gavitt, the Celtics newly appointed chief operating officer, The Boston Globe today said it was told by unidentified sources.

The Boston Herald today said Krzyzewski, a friend of Gavitt, has said he would be interested in the job if the Celtics approached him.

The two already have had contact, Duke Athletic Director Tom Butters told the Globe.

When asked about Krzyzewski, Gavitt said it is not fair to comment on individual candidates.
