A coed awarded $1 million after she was secretly videotaped having sex with her boyfriend has reached an out-of-court settlement with a law firm that allegedly copied the video and allowed staff members to watch it.

The law firm of Hirsch, Glover, Robinson & Sheiness recently settled with Susan Leigh Kerr in order to prevent her following through on a threatened suit against the firm, The Houston Post reported today.

The settlement reportedly was for $650,000.

Kerr, a Texas Tech University student, won a $1-million judgment against Dan Boyles Jr. and three others last summer. Kerr filed suit after learning the men secretly videotaped her and Boyles having sex and then showed the tape to their fraternity brothers at the University of Texas.

Boyles is appealing his portion of the judgment, which totals about $650,000, but the other defendants already have paid Kerr.

Kerr notified Hirsch, Glover that she was considering filing suit against them after learning someone in the firm had copied the video and was showing it to fellow workers.
