Plentiful Supply of Christmas Trees: There is a good supply of Christmas trees nationally for 1990 and prices will be only a little higher than a year ago, a spokeswoman with the National Christmas Tree Assn. said. The Milwaukee-based group’s 2,800 members expect to sell about 36 million Christmas trees for the holiday season, said Cate Miller. “Price is the good news for consumers,” she said. “There is a very little increase, probably to the range from $3.25 to $5.25 per foot for retail. That’s just a slight increase over 1989 prices (of $3 to $5.25).”
