WORLD : Racy Fortune Cookies Recalled

TAIPEI, Taiwan —
A bakery has recalled from stores near elementary schools fortune cookies that contain pictures of women whose bikinis can be scratched off, the head of a children’s association said today.
Parents demanded the withdrawal of the cookies after their children began collecting pictures of the nude models, said Lin Tse-kuei, head of the Women and Children Protection Assn.
The pictures are inserted inside the cookies. The bikinis can be scratched off with a coin.
Pin Fa Bakery said it made 100,000 cookies for a Hong Kong nightclub but the order was later canceled and it sold them to Taiwan stores for about 3 cents apiece.
