Rupert Murdoch Probed: Australia’s corporate watchdog agency said it has reopened investigations into the media tycoon’s newspaper operations in the country. The Trade Practices Commission is examining if the Sun and Sunday Sun, published in Brisbane, and the Adelaide News are operating as separate entities from News Ltd. after the company-financed management buyouts of the papers in 1987. News Ltd., the Australian arm of Murdoch’s international media empire, runs the competing publications in both cities. News Ltd. has denied any interference in the running of the papers.
