Birth-Control Informant Attacked, Slain in China

BEIJING —
A Chinese farmer has been sentenced to death for murdering a man who informed against him to birth-control authorities, the official Farmers’ Daily said Friday.
Qi Yongxin of Henan province tried to decapitate Yu Zuqiang with a shovel and killed him after learning that Yu had informed against him for violating China’s strict birth-control policies by trying to have a fourth child.
