PORT HUENEME : Youth Arrested in Stabbing of Pair
A 17-year-old Port Hueneme boy was arrested in connection with the stabbing of two 18-year-olds in an April 23 fight, officials said Saturday.
The teen-ager, whose name was not released, was taken into custody Friday on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, Port Hueneme Police Sgt. Ted Snyder said.
The youth is suspected of stabbing George Ayala in the stomach and Armando Perez in the back during a fight in the 800 block of Jane Drive, Snyder said.
Ayala is in stable condition at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard.
Perez was not hospitalized, Snyder said.
“Apparently there were words exchanged about gang involvement,” before the fight, but the victims were not gang members, Snyder said.
