The Angels have done it again. They’ve signed a high-priced, past-his-prime, elder statesman with high hopes of purchasing a pennant. However, this time, I’m all for it.

The Angels have pulled off the greatest PR move since the inception of “Cap Night” to bring in the fans. What’s more, they may just get their money’s worth from Fernando Valenzuela. The Dodgers swung the ax too early, and now the Angels might benefit from another bum miscue. It’s a gamble worth taking. Good luck, fantastic Freddy. This deal was heaven sent.
