Cambrian Systems to Consolidate Production

Cambrian Systems said it plans to consolidate its manufacturing into one site at its Westlake Village headquarters.

Cambrian, which makes equipment for testing computer disk drives--devices that store and retrieve data--said it would stop manufacturing at its facility in Fremont, Calif. But the company said it would expand its marketing, sales and customer support operations in Fremont to help service its growing business in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The company said the move would take effect July 1 and would not result in any layoffs.
