More Shots Are Fired in the Evolutionary War
I am stunned by your article describing the conflict between John Peloza and Emily Long. I am in disbelief that, after all of the legislation and the much touted standards of teaching certification, that such ignorance could manifest itself in out schools.
Where in the hell is the principal, and the school board?
Why, in 1991, are students being subjected to this kind of indignity?
Are we going backwards? Are we to have a kind of reverse Scopes trial?
Why is that poor, sad, ignorant man being allowed to use the high school campus as a place to proselytize?
What is the school administration doing about its responsibility to intellectual rigor, the general welfare of the school and this young woman’s constitutional rights?
