SCENE ON THE STREET : Hair They Go Again
Dreadlocks are back, and mothers are muttering.
Power is the key to these locks. Some dreadlock-wearers are Rastafarian, who in keeping with that religion, do not cut or comb their hair; it drains off the power. (Yes, they wash it, mom; they do , mom!) And for others--these were seen in Pasadena, Azusa and Claremont--realizing they have the power to bug their mothers is part of their religion.
