Religions Not Perfect
High praises for R.W. Cromey and his Commentary, “Celebrate, and Guide, Sexuality” (May 31).
I admire his courage and his message. Organized religions are not perfect institutions--not in their teachings or morality. Hence, it is refreshing to see a leading churchman examine his religion’s activity in a self-critical way.
I take from his article a sign of hope: The churches, as well as each member of the churches, are being reminded of their need for constant reformation. Keep at it, Rector Cromey.
