Teradata Holders Approve NCR Merger: Shareholders of El Segundo-based Teradata Corp. approved a merger with Dayton, Ohio-based NCR Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T.; The agreement is valued at about $500 million. Teradata Chairman and Chief Executive Kenneth W. Simonds said: “While there is a bit of sadness in bringing this chapter of Teradata to a close, there is also a great excitement in joining forces with NCR. I’m convinced that our combined strengths will enable us to be a major factor in the information technology industry.”
