In response to Column One, “Stealth Wealth in Vogue,” April 22:

With all the truly significant problems your readers must confront, I can’t believe The Times would waste precious space on the lifestyle dilemmas of a bunch of self-absorbed “yups.”

What--issues like “all these homeless people” and AIDS have just now crept up, and made them realize their values are totally screwed up? What a bunch of horse poop.
