Voting and Taxes
Regarding President Bush’s veto of the “motor-voter” bill:
A letter writer says (July 15) that drivers who only read the comics or sport section should not be allowed to vote. Same for drivers who don’t drive good.
Doesn’t it follow that they should also not be allowed to pay taxes? After all, the Boston Tea Party was based on “no taxation without representation.”
