In the El Dorado tournament:

El Dorado 79, Rancho Cucamonga 67--John Simonsen scored 19 points and Dan Watson had 18 to lead El Dorado (2-4) to a first-round victory over Rancho Cucamonga (3-2), which got 19 points from Ed Zaldivar.

In nonleague boys’ basketball:

Pacifica 58, Villa Park 53--Chris Vlasic scored 23 points for visiting Pacifica (3-2). Brian Robertson had 15 points for Villa Park (1-4).

Sonora 54, Dana Hills 49--Chris St. Clair had 26 points for visiting Sonora (4-2). Dana Hills (2-3) led, 43-39, after three quarters but was outscored in the fourth quarter, 15-6. Justin Hinsey scored 19 points for the Dolphins.

In the first-round of the Bolsa Grande girls’ basketball tournament:

Compton Dominguez 33, Santa Ana Valley 26--Norah Mariner scored 12 points for Santa Ana Valley.

Magnolia 32, Westminster 16--Gillian Geraghty and Barbara Mathews scored eight points each for Magnolia (3-2). Amber Farroux had 11 for Westminster (2-2).

Troy 44, Western 27--Audra Gamst and Becky How each scored 10 points to lead Troy (5-2), which scored the game’s first 12 points. Western is 4-4.

In the Cypress tournament:

University 44, Pacifica 23--Jennifer Stanley scored 17 points to lead University (1-3) to a victory in consolation play.

Woodbridge 85, Bell 27--Nicole Quinn scored 18 points as Woodbridge (4-2) rolled over Bell (1-2) in a consolation game.

In the first round of the Estancia tournament:

Corona del Mar 59, Compton Centennial 51--Mollie Flint scored 29 points for Corona del Mar (3-1).

Trabuco Hills 63, Irvine 26--Jennifer Ross scored 16 points for Trabuco Hills (3-4).

Mission Viejo 54, Loara 34--Maggie Gorska had 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead Mission Viejo (6-1). Loara is 0-4.

El Toro 51, Anaheim 17--Bev Harnden scored 15 points as El Toro defeated Anaheim (0-4).
