CAMARILLO : Driver Found Dead After Hitting Pole
A man who rammed a power pole was found dead in his vehicle late Tuesday by Ventura County firefighters who were sent to investigate sparking power lines, officials said.
Firefighters found the man at 8:34 p.m. on Pleasant Valley Road south of Sturgis Road near Camarillo, said Fire Department spokeswoman Vicki Crabtree.
The victim had not been identified Tuesday evening, and the cause of the crash was being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
