Pinkerton’s Net Income Rises 2% in 1st Quarter

Pinkerton’s Inc. said its first-quarter net income rose 2%, to $1.2 million, on a 3% gain in revenue.

The Van Nuys-based security concern’s revenue in the quarter, which ended March 19, climbed to $164.3 million from $159.4 million.

Pinkerton’s said that despite increased revenue, heavy price competition and higher taxes limited its ability to fully recover higher wage and payroll-related costs in the quarter.
