Canoga Park Firm Issues Voice Technology Licenses

Voice Powered Technology International Inc., a Canoga Park marketer of consumer electronics products that respond to voice commands, said it has licensed its technology to giant consumer electronics concern Philips Consumer Electronics Co. for use in four new videocassette recorders.

The VCRs, to be introduced this summer under the Philips and Magnavox brand names, will be the first to be marketed with a voice-command capability, Voice Powered said.

The terms of the licensing agreement were not disclosed.
