Boy Takes Hostages, Shoots at Principal

PRINCETON, W. Va. —
A 14-year-old student shot at his high school principal and took 20 people hostage at the school Monday but was disarmed by police and arrested without anyone being injured, officials said.
Authorities said the boy was distraught over difficulties at home. He issued demands over the school public address system.
The boy, who was not identified because of his age, used a shotgun, a .357 Magnum pistol and a .22 automatic handgun to take his hostages.
