Ex-Sanitation Inspector Charged in Youth’s Death

NEW YORK —
A former sanitation inspector was charged with murder Tuesday in the slaying of a 5-year-old boy who was beaten, choked and thrown into a trash compactor at a housing project. Stephan Poole, 31, was arraigned in Brooklyn court on two counts of second-degree murder. The body of Kaysean Blackledge was found by a maintenance worker.
