GARDEN GROVE : City Seeks Applicants for New Traffic Panel

The city is accepting applications from residents for two positions on the recently restructured Traffic Committee.

The committee reviews requests for traffic safety devices, signs and markings, investigates unsafe traffic conditions and conducts public hearings on major street projects.

Members also will make recommendations to the City Council on traffic matters and transportation planning.

Earlier this month, the City Council voted to restructure its Traffic Commission, which was made up of five members of the public. The new Traffic Committee will include staff members and members of the public.

City officials who will serve on the committee are Police Chief Stanley L. Knee, Public Services Director Dick Conrad and City Engineer Bill Patapoff.
