Newsletter Gives Youths Recognition

Iwas very impressed by “Giving a Voice to Anonymous Youths” (Oct. 26). I think it’s great that the editor of the Street Scene newsletter is being recognized in a well-known paper like The Times.

Editor Paul Cohen of Street Scene needs to be commended for recognizing runaway kids and their talent. Runaway kids are an everyday occurrence, and Cohen isn’t treating them like unnoticeable transients, but is letting them express their problems.

These kids have serious family, drug and self-esteem problems they need to work out and talk about. le attention and advice. Paul Cohen is giving them that.
