2 Florida Men Jailed for Cruelty to Kittens

STUART, Fla. —
A man who butchered a kitten and another who stomped, kicked and threw one into a tree were each sentenced to eight months in jail.
“I don’t know what to make of an act like this. It certainly was sick,” Circuit Judge Larry Schack told Edward Lee Harrell, 19, who butchered a kitten after it urinated in his house.
Miqueas Perez, 21, told the judge he had been drinking at the time and did not intend to harm the kitten he stomped, kicked and threw into a tree when it crossed his path.
