WILSHIRE : Redevelopment Plan Focus of Meeting
The Wilshire Center/Koreatown Community Advisory Committee will review and discuss a draft redevelopment plan for the area in a public meeting Thursday.
This and the next few meetings will focus on land use, said Cooke Sunoo, Community Redevelopment Agency project manager, who added that community involvement is therefore important.
The redevelopment area, which was established after the 1992 riots to promote the rebuilding and economic revitalization of the Wilshire Center/Koreatown area, is bounded roughly by 5th Street to the north, 12th Street to the south, Hoover Street to the east and Western Avenue and Wilton Place to the west.
The meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. in Room 311 of the Southwestern University School of Law, 675 S. Westmoreland Ave. Information: (213) 977-2633.
