Scholarships: 7 Get Kiwanis Awards

The Kiwanis Club of Santa Monica has awarded more than $4,500 in scholarships to seven Santa Monica College students in need of financial assistance.

Each student received $650 as part of the annual Kiwanis scholarship program for young people involved in community service who have good academic standing and specific educational goals.

The recipients are Michaela Grube, Yvoune Petrie, Rachael Fromanter, Kathleen Savacool, Carolann Miller, Kristen Seraphin and John Davidson.
