Pinnacle Micro Inc.: The Irvine maker of advanced computer disk drives said Thursday it has begun selling two of its products through the CompUSA chain of computer stores. Pinnacle’s disk drives record information using laser, rather than conventional magnetic technology, enabling computers to process complex programs and data more quickly. Targeted markets include desktop publishers and software development companies. CompUSA began selling two models of Pinnacle drives, priced at $799 and $1,995, in its 83 stores nationwide at the start of this month. It is Pinnacle’s first major retailing effort.
