ALTADENA: A 66-year-old man watching television in his West Figueroa Drive home was injured by a stray bullet at about 5 p.m. Saturday. Clyde Williams had gotten up from his couch to change the channel when a bullet came through the window and hit him from the rear on the shoulder. Williams was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Sheriff’s deputies said two carloads of people were exchanging gunfire in the street.

ARCADIA: A 20-year-old Rosemead man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly grabbed a police officer’s gun and threatened to kill him. Ronald V. Alenbaugh was arrested at about 1 p.m. at Champs sporting goods store in Santa Anita Fashion Park on suspicion of attempted murder of a police officer. One round was fired during the struggle but no one was hurt. Alenbaugh was being held at Arcadia City Jail in lieu of $1 million in bail.

LA VERNE: A 32-year-old Upland man was arrested Monday after allegedly stealing a truck and leading police on a pursuit through several cities. Scott Allen Katt was being held at Los Angeles County Jail on suspicion of auto theft, felony evading arrest and felony assault on a police officer. Katt is being held without bail because he was on parole at the time of his arrest, police said.

POMONA: Police arrested two men Tuesday in connection with the Sunday shooting of a 15-year-old Ontario boy. Ahmed Bellozo, 18, of Fontana and Julio Castaneda, 24, of Pomona were arrested after officers interviewed witnesses and tracked down the license plate of the car used in the shooting. The 15-year-old, whose name was not released, was struck once in the chest as he was walking down Olive Street with friends at about 1:10 p.m. He was taken to Pomona Valley Community Hospital. Five males in a red Volkswagen bug pulled alongside the boys and the passenger fired six rounds from a handgun. Bellozo and Castaneda were being held on suspicion of attempted murder at the Pomona City Jail, where they were held in lieu of $500,000 bail each. Additional suspects are sought.

POMONA: A 49-year-old Pomona man was shot and killed Monday night while he was sitting in a front yard. Billy Griffin was sitting with other people in the 2100 block of Ramsey Way at 6:40 p.m. when a passenger in a white compact car fired several rounds from a .22-caliber rifle, police said. By the time officers arrived, Griffin’s relatives had taken him to Pomona Valley Medical Center, where he died soon afterward. Police ask anyone with information to contact them at (909) 620-2095.

POMONA: A 17-year-old Pomona boy was killed and a 16-year-old Pomona boy was injured when they were shot early Tuesday morning. Deshel Bell and Darnel Williams were found lying on a sidewalk in the 2200 block of Carlton Avenue at 12:25 a.m. Bell died at the scene. Williams received minor wounds to his back and right leg and was treated and released at Pomona Valley Medical Center. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (909) 620-2095.

PASADENA: Four men tied up residents April 6 during a home invasion robbery. The robbery occurred at about 12:45 p.m. in the 4100 block of Park Vista Drive, police said. No one was injured and the suspects fled with unknown property items.

ROSEMEAD: Two men were killed and a third person was injured in a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning. Raymond Audelo, 38, of Rosemead and Michael Bohannon, 19, of Hacienda Heights were killed at 1:10 a.m. in the 3200 block of Bartlett Avenue, sheriff’s deputies said. The third victim, whose name was not released, was listed in stable condition at a local hospital. The three were standing near a curb when two men in an older, mid-size car drove by and the passenger fired numerous rounds. They then fled the scene. Deputies believe the shooting is gang-related.
