MAI Systems Posts $2.9-Million Profit

MAI Systems Corp., an Irvine computer company, said net income for the first quarter totaled $2.9 million, or 49 cents a share, a sevenfold increase over earnings of $426,000, or 7 cents a share, for last year’s first three months. Quarterly revenue was flat at $17.2 million.
