Program Sales: Touchstone Software Corp. in Huntington Beach will begin selling Hewlett-Packard Co. computer programs for installation in the Palo Alto company’s personal computers.

Executives at the two companies wouldn’t disclose terms of the agreement.

Touchstone’s software allows computer users to review and alter their machines’ allocation of electronic memory and the speed at which they run such devices as printers and magnetic disk drives. Those variables can affect a computer’s ability to run other programs.
