The Rams are getting their Anaheim Stadium lockers after all.

Mary Kromolowski, coordinating the team’s move to St. Louis, said Wednesday the lockers will be transported to Missouri.

“They were removed today and are on their way,” Kromolowski said. “I’m glad this situation has been resolved.”

Phil Larcus, Anaheim operations manager, confirmed that 50 lockers for players and 12 lockers for coaches were removed after lawyers for the city worked out an agreement with the Rams.

The Rams tried to remove the lockers June 19 but were thwarted by stadium officials. Kromolowski, the team’s executive director, had said last week the team had designed, built and installed at a cost of $400 apiece 63 lockers in the home team football locker room in 1980. When the team was kept from moving the lockers, Kromolowski said Anaheim was “being obstructive” by its action.

At the time, Anaheim Stadium General Manager Greg Smith said he was awaiting an opinion from Anaheim lawyers.

“When you sell your house, would you expect to take your kitchen cabinets with you? These cubicles [lockers] are very similar to kitchen cabinets. They’re made out of wood, they’re built into the property. They’ve become a fixture. To remove them will cause that room to need extensive repair.”

Larcus said Wednesday the Rams have agreed to paint the walls where the lockers once stood. “All we have there is just bare walls and carpet without an edge on it where the lockers were,” he said.
