Simi Valley : Clinic Volunteers Honored for Service
Medical, legal and counseling volunteers at the Free Clinic of Simi Valley received awards for their work in the nonprofit organization.
Five volunteers were honored during a barbecue last week, including: Phyllis Wilson for her work in counseling services; Darla d’Agay, for coordinating the most successful fund-raising events in the clinic’s history; Adel Rizkalaha for dedication in providing medical care; Linda Klug as a volunteer intern in counseling, and Susan Glickman for her work in the legal services department.
The Free Clinic of Simi Valley is a volunteer-based community organization that provides medical care, counseling and legal assistance to residents regardless of their ability to pay.
Founded in 1971, the clinic primarily serves residents in Simi Valley, Moorpark and the Conejo Valley.
