PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : AFC : Mosebar Needs Two More Eye Operations
Don Mosebar of the Oakland Raiders already has had two operations following a freak training camp accident. He will need at least two more.
The center’s vision in his left eye is so threatened he is to have a third procedure Friday. Another must be performed Tuesday to repair the bone around the eye.
Mosebar originally had surgery at Austin, Tex., immediately after the practice-field mishap on a head slap from Dallas defensive lineman Chad Hennings.

With starting cornerback Darrien Gordon sidelined until mid-November, the San Diego Chargers signed veteran cornerback A.J. Johnson, who signed with Kansas City in June but was released Monday.

Seattle Seahawk running back Chris Warren was charged with assault for allegedly slapping Kadra Muhummad, 27, outside a Renton, Wash., nightclub on July 29 after she refused to dance with him. Warren, involved in a Dec. 1 car accident that left teammate Mike Frier paralyzed, denied the charge. . . . Craig Erickson will remain the starting quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, despite a loss to Cincinnati in the exhibition opener and two saves by backup Jim Harbaugh in come-from-behind victories over Seattle and Green Bay the past two weeks.
