Nation IN BRIEF : COLORADO : Bomb Case Focuses on Death Penalty

Attorneys for the two men charged in last year’s Oklahoma City federal building bombing that killed 168 people and injured 600 argued in federal court in Denver that the death penalty should not be allowed as a possible punishment for their clients because Atty. Gen. Janet Reno had violated her own policy by prejudging the defendants even before they were arrested. But government prosecutors said that Reno was simply venting her anger on the day of the bombing.
