Porn at the PX

Regarding your criticism of my opposition to the military’s facilitation of the sale of vile Hustler-type pornography (“Smut-Busters Purify the Military,” editorial, May 6):

Pornography is prima facie sexual harassment of women. Is that what our military is to stand for? Is that what The Times is seeking to protect within our best and most noble public institution of sacrifice? I was never so proud of The Times as when you dumped the pornography advertising of X-rated films, videos and slimy smut salons.
