Rainbow Technologies Inc.: The Irvine software protection company said second quarter net income increased 17% to $2.7 million, or 35 cents a share, from $2.3 million, or 30 cents a share, for the 1995 second quarter. Sales were up 17% to $19.5 million from $16.7 million. First half net income gained 23% to $5.4 million, or 70 cents a share, from $4.4 million, or 58 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue increased 18% to $38.1 million from $32.4 million.
