JetHawks Edge Modesto, 7-5

Mike Lanza had three hits and five of his teammates had two each as the JetHawks defeated the Modesto A’s, 7-5, Wednesday night at John Thurman Field.

Shane Monahan was one of the five JetHawks (17-17) with two hits as he extended his hitting streak to 19 games. Teammates Scott Smith and Doug Carroll each drove in two runs.

Starter Ken Cloude (12-3) allowed two runs on two hits with nine strikeouts in six innings.
