Golden West Names New Vice President
A former college official in New Jersey and Canada has been named as Golden West College’s new vice president of administrative services.
Parminder Bajaj assumed his new job July 8. He succeeded Fred Owens, who retired last year.
Bajaj was director of auxiliary services for Trenton State College in New Jersey from 1992 to 1995. Before that, he served in various positions at Algonquin Community College in Ottawa, Canada, from 1979 to 1992.
Bajaj holds a master’s degree in business administration and an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering.
Kenneth Yglesias, president of Golden West, praised Bajaj’s management views.
Yglesias said Bajaj’s administrative philosophy calls for “seeking and creating success with and through others.”
