Dabney / Resnick Partner Leaves: Citing personal reasons, Neil Dabney has resigned from the Beverly Hills-based investment banking and brokerage firm he co-founded with Judy Resnick in 1989, sources said. The company confirmed Dabney’s departure but declined to comment further. Dabney/Resnick Inc. last week announced that Torrance-based Imperial Credit Industries agreed to make an investment in the firm via a loan with warrants to acquire up to 49% of Dabney/Resnick’s equity. ICI Chairman H. Wayne Snavely said the sale of Neil Dabney’s stake in the firm had been discussed in ICI’s negotiations with Dabney/Resnick but that Dabney had originally planned to stay on and only recently changed his mind. Dabney and Resnick had been with Drexel Burnham Lambert before founding their firm.
