Ricketts Named to New Position at Ingram Micro

* James F. Ricketts has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president and worldwide treasurer for Ingram Micro Inc., a Santa Ana wholesale distributor of technology and microcomputer products. He will be responsible for establishing the company’s global financial management strategies. Ricketts was previously vice president and treasurer of Sundstrand Corp., a Rockford, Ill.-based manufacturer of systems and components for international aerospace and industrial markets. Before that, he was with Ford Motor Co. for 19 years, where he was a member of the corporate finance staff in the U.S., with treasury responsibilities for both Asia-Pacific and Europe.

* Charles Gorlinski has joined Productivity Enhancement Products Inc., a Laguna Hills engineering and product development firm, as director of engineering. He was formerly hardware engineering manager at Workstation Technologies in Irvine for more than seven years.

* Geoff Wilson has been named executive director of Junior Achievement of Orange County and the Inland Empire. He was formerly director of education in the San Diego office for seven years.

* Suzy Hanson has been appointed vice president of sales and operations for Ingram Alliance Reseller Co., a subsidiary of Ingram Micro Inc. She has been with Ingram Alliance since its formation in August 1994, and with Ingram Micro since 1982. In addition, Robert L. Stegner was named to the newly created position of senior director of reseller programs. He was formerly director of sales and marketing for Sarcom, a computer reseller in Ohio.

* Fred M. Haney has joined the board of directors of CAM Data Systems in Fountain Valley. Haney is president of Venture Management Co., a consulting firm in Palos Verdes Estates. CAM Data Systems develops and markets point-of-sale, inventory control and accounting systems for retailers, distributors and manufacturers.

* Ron Pack has been named vice president of retail sales and marketing at MGV Memory, an Irvine designer and manufacturer of memory upgrade modules. He was previously director of retail sales for the company.

* David Van Ramshorst has joined Price Waterhouse LLP in Costa Mesa as managing director-tax. He was formerly tax director and corporate controller at AST Research Inc. Before joining AST, where he served for 10 years, Van Ramshorst was with Ernst & Young.

* Dennis L. Stone has been appointed to the newly created position of corporate medical director for Regency Health Services Inc. in Tustin. He joined the company from Beverly Health & Rehabilitation Inc., where he was vice president of medical affairs and corporate medical director. Stone has also been medical director of the Masonic Home of California for Adults and medical director of On Lok Senior Health Services.

* Richard Salceda has been named marketing communications manager for James Hardie Building Products in Mission Viejo. Salceda had been owner and president of the InterActive Media advertising agency for nine years.

* Kenneth Artz has been named to the board of directors of Fieldstone Communities Inc. in Newport Beach. He is vice president and chief financial officer of the home building company.

* Edwin J. Werner has been elected vice chairman of PIA Merchandising Services Inc. in Irvine. Werner, who joined the company in 1994, had been a senior vice president and president of its marketing network and market level marketing operations.

* John J. Dunion has been named vice president, purchasing for CKE Restaurants Inc., the Anaheim parent company of Carl Karcher Enterprises Inc. and Summit Family Restaurants Inc. Before joining CKE, Dunion was vice president of purchasing for Black-Eyed Pea Management Corp., the managing parent company of Casa Bonita Inc. CKE is expected to complete its acquisition of Casa Bonita in October.

* Noh Byung Park has been named senior vice president, worldwide product development and manufacturing for AST Research Inc., an Irvine personal computer manufacturer, and an officer of the company. He was formerly vice president and general manager of the Computer division at Samsung Electronics. Park also held other executive-level engineering positions at Samsung following his tenure as a professor of electrical and computer engineering at UC Irvine.

* Jill Kanzler has been appointed director of public affairs at Gladstone International, an Irvine public relations and marketing firm. She has been with Gladstone for more than two years.

* Raymond C. Morrison has joined Ehrlich-Rominger, an architecture, planning, interior design and engineering firm, as vice president and director of its Newport Beach office. An architect for more than 23 years, Morrison has prior administrative management experience with Anderson De Bartolo Pan in San Francisco, Solberg & Lowe Architects Inc. in Santa Monica, and 3/D International of Houston.

* Christin Wang has been named account executive, advertising for Roberts, Mealer & Co., a Santa Ana advertising and public relations agency. She had been account coordinator, advertising. Before joining the agency in February, Wang held media planning positions with the Richards Group in Dallas and dGWB Advertising in Irvine.

* Patrice Jobin has joined TPM Staffing Services Inc. in Irvine as senior business representative. She will be responsible for business development and customer service.

* David B. Cassidy has been named executive vice president of American Vanguard Corp.’s wholly owned subsidiary, Amvac Chemical Corp. in Newport Beach. In his new position, he will be responsible for the company’s new product development, acquisitions and global expansion, marketing and sales efforts. Cassidy has more than 20 years of international chemical experience with FMC Corp. and E.I. Dupont.
