New episodes of Adventures From the Book of Virtues premiere this week (KCET, Sunday at 6 p.m.). The animated series is based on William Bennett’s best-selling anthology of classic stories from around the world that use both human and animal characters. The first half-hour installment Sunday is about friendship; the second part is about loyalty. For ages 4 to 10.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Denise Nicholas star on a special Black History episode of “Storytime” (KCET, Monday at 7:30 a.m.). Warner reads “More Than Anything Else,” a story of Booker T. Washington’s burning desire to learn to read. Nicholas reads “Knoxville, Tennessee,” a poem about a child’s memories of growing up with loving grandparents. For ages 3 to 7.
