Seventh-Grader to Be Student Ambassador
Rachel Filkoff, a seventh-grade student at Warner Middle School, has been chosen to participate in the Student Ambassador Program in Europe this summer.
The program, called “People to People,” was founded by former President Eisenhower to encourage international relations and give students a chance to study foreign economics, law, government and transportation first-hand.
Delegates will travel to England, France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands and meet members of government and U.S. ambassadors, live with a European family for a week and visit historic landmarks.
