Woman Wins $1 Million in Lottery
A drugstore supervisor from Camarillo has become a millionaire in the California Lottery’s weekly Big Spin.
After spinning the wheel and landing on the $1 million spoke, Marilyn Hodge dedicated the win to her late husband, a big lottery fan, she said.
“I don’t believe it,” Hodge said. “I wanted to win this for my husband’s sake.”
The winning spin will be shown during a telecast this afternoon.
Hodge made it to the Big Spin in Sacramento by way of a Big Spin Scratcher purchased by her oldest son, Robert, on Thanksgiving Day last year.
Robert Hodge purchased three scratchers, and one of them revealed three “spin” symbols--an automatic trip to the wheel.
Marilyn Hodge said she is going to use some of the money on a Hawaiian vacation. After that, she and her family intend to seek out the advice of a financial planner and invest in a new house.
